We believe that the key to success in our industry is quality and service. Since toilet partitions are one of the last products to be installed in a building, it is vital that shipping schedules be maintained. Our policy has been to carefully establish realistic schedules and stick to them.
We are quite pleased with our statistics. 95% of our powder coated steel orders shipped on schedule or sooner, and 98% of them shipped within one day of the schedule date. Over the years, this has become one of the features that has enhanced our reputation as reliable and progressive leaders in our field.
Construction Advantages
- General’s metal panel skins are bonded under pressure to each cell of the sound deadening Ribcore with an adhesive that is impervious to moisture. General utilizes a tight ¾” cell size to ensure greater bond and rigidity to the partitions.
- On all metal toilet partitions, corner clips are mechanically attached over a locking bar giving greatly increased strength (a double thickness of steel at corners). This construction eliminates a weak corner which is welded and then ground. Not only is the corner clip stronger than a welded and grounded corner, but it eliminates the problem of removing the zinc coating and most of the welded bead at the corner during the old fashioned grinding process. The welded corner then becomes a susceptible area for cracking and rusting. If a corner on a panel or door should be damaged, either in transit or in the field, it can be inexpensively replaced with a new corner, as opposed to scrapping the panel because of the welded corners which are not replaceable.
Packaging
We have designed a special type of cartoning that we refer to as the cellular poly crate, which has proven to further reduce freight damaged material. 99% of the powder coated steel toilet partitions orders arrived to the jobsite damage-free. We know that this is of utmost importance to contractors and building owners, because the order can be installed and finished in a timely manner, rather than returning to the jobsite later to replace damaged material.
Corner Reinforcements
Used on all steel partition at exposed corners. Mechanically fused to the edges. Doubles the strength of the corner. Also allows field repairs if and when required. Eliminates welding and grinding of the corners which removed the protective zinc coating as well as part of the metal edge.
